Who We Help · Tech & Digital

Accountant for tech and digital businesses

Direct answer: FinPilot looks after software and SaaS companies, web and digital agencies, and IT support, MSP and cyber security firms across Coventry, Leamington, Warwick and Rugby. You get compliance done properly, a rolling 13-week cash and runway forecast, and an ICAEW Chartered Accountant who answers your calls and texts, all in one fixed monthly fee.

Who we work with

Typically limited companies with 2 to 50 staff, recurring revenue or project work, and an owner who wants to understand the numbers, not just file them.

Why tech businesses switch to FinPilot

How it works

Common questions

Why use an accountant who works with tech businesses?

Tech businesses run on things a general accountant often treats as an afterthought: subscription revenue that has to be spread over the contract, project margins, recurring support contracts, and cash runway between funding or big invoices. An accountant who works with these models every month gives you numbers you can actually run the business on.

What does Growth Accounting include?

Everything in Core Accounting (accounts, corporation tax, VAT, Companies House), plus monthly management accounts, a rolling 13-week cash and runway forecast, a tax set-aside plan, payroll, the metrics that fit your model, and a monthly call.

Do you work with Xero, Stripe and HubSpot?

Yes. FinPilot is Xero-first, and connects Stripe, GoCardless, Dext and the other apps tech businesses already use, so your books stay current without manual re-keying.

How quickly do you reply to calls and texts?

Calls and texts about your business and your numbers are included in your fixed monthly fee, with a reply within one working day, Monday to Friday. New projects, such as a fundraise, share scheme or catch-up bookkeeping, are quoted as a fixed fee before any work starts, so there's never an invoice you haven't agreed in advance.

How hard is it to switch accountant?

Not hard. Once you've signed up, we contact your current accountant for professional clearance and handover, set up your Xero access and agree a start date. The best time to switch is a few months before your year-end, so your next accounts are prepared properly from the start.
